I replaced your "anger" with my "anxiety". ..

May the anxiety that surfaces in me, be an invitation from You to stop—

to notice what I’m feeling below the anxiety,

to name my fear,

and to name my sadness.

To name all of what has been left unnamed.

I ask you for the gentleness of Jesus, to welcome all of who I am,

to be present with my feelings,

to be kind to them and myself,

and to ask them what they’re trying to say.

Amen and Amen

So good and encouraging Brianna! Anger is definitely an invitation to search deeper underneath the surface. It’s interesting how the only one who can be angry and not sin is Jesus himself because his compassion rises and falls with his righteous anger against sin 🙏🏼

Thank you for this beautiful reminder of Jesus and the invitations He gives us as we hold all our feelings.
